9-21-04 - Durant's Michael Ellis finished a summer-long journey towards fame and fortune just short of the ultimate goal. The man known as 'Cowboy' narrowly missed winning $500,000.
Friends and family joined watch parties across Bryan and Marshall Counties to cheer on Ellis Tuesday night. But Ellis' former housemates ended up choosing Drew as the final winner. Ellis still walked away with $50,000.
Ellis tried out for Big Brother two years ago at Sherman's Midway Mall, but recently made the cast of Big Brother 5.
