Suspect in Custody for Shooting

9-23-04 – Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital and landed another in jail. Colbert police say it happened at around 9 p.m. on Rice Street just off of highway 91.

The victim, Terry Donahue, was taken to Texoma Medical Center for surgery. He was shot once in the stomach and once in the chest with a nine millimeter handgun.

The suspect, 34-year-old David Wilson Weathers, is in the Bryan County Jail. Authorities say the two men got into an argument before the shooting. Police are investigating.

Donahue was last listed in critical, but stable condition late Thursday morning.
