GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- Grayson County land records will now be filed online instead of in person. County officials approved the measure on Monday which allows title companies to upload records to a county website.
The new method replaces the old way of filing them by hand at the courthouse.
Officials say the move will cut down on courier costs for local businesses and will allow the county to use less manpower.
"It’s kind of one of those things, this is old hat for a lot of private companies in the world, and they've been doing this for quite a while, but it’s a new hat for the county, and I think it will help us tremendously," Grayson County Judge Drue Bynum said.
No word yet on when that system will be up and running.
