Habitat Home Helps Family

10-3-04- Volunteers from Habitat for Humanity are helping a Sherman family move out of an apartment and into a new home. Sunday, Habitat broke ground on their twelfth home in the area and say the Hester family will move in in about six months.

Sunday, Dennis and Marsha Hester helped several volunteers break ground on their new home on Walnut Street. The Hesters say they look forward to moving out of their cramped apartment and into affordable housing.

The program helps families with limited incomes move into new homes built completely by volunteers.

Children’s Center Honors Volunteers

Sherman Public Library Summer Reading Club sign ups

Children ages birth-11 can Dig into Reading and join the Youth Summer Reading Club. The theme for the Teen Summer Reading Club this year is Beneath the Surface and it is open to teens ages 12-18.
