DURANT, Okla -- After Saturday night’s fire during a monster truck show at the Choctaw Coliseum, many were left wondering if they would get a refund.

The show was supposed to last an hour and a half, according to the production manager Shawn Ives, but was cut short after about 20 minutes, when a jet engine four-wheeler set four cars on fire.

Matt Gregory, with the Choctaw Nation, says with proof of purchase, you can get a 70% refund. For tickets bought with a credit card, the amount will be refunded automatically. But if you have a paper ticket stub, you will have to show that at the ticket office or mail it in for your refund.

Gregory also says the refund period will be open until they feel everyone has gotten their money back.

He was near the cars to set them on fire. He backed up against them. He was not just 'accidentally' near them.

Why was this jet car even close to the cars?

Has anyone actually received a refund? I paid with a debit card, which they claim will be automatically credited. Has anyone received credit yet??? I haven't seen anything. I'd be happy with pretty much anything at this point.

Your news site has a headline "Man who fraudently used credit card in Ardmore now in custody". The headline should read "Choctaw owmers put on a fraud Monster Truck show are being arrested for refunding 70% of ticket price". What a fraud. I hope every Texan that went boycotts these frauds! I keep checking for a class action suit to come up. That was the most pitiful excuse for a show that I've ever seen! I want a 100% refund on the show, gas, and meals that I was out of for this hideous fraud. What kind of Monster Truck show has only 4 trucks?! Hey julie location Texas, WAKE UP! This is all Choctaws fault you nimrod! I think that whoever made the decision to only refund 70% is a sleeze, how can you sleep at night?

The people at Choctaw are crooks and should be ashamed. They will not even refund the credit card charge. We will never go back to the casino and gamble. I hope that enough people will boycott them and they go bankrupt for being so silly. Not to mention the chaos that there was in getting out of the place with the fire that was intentionally set by that crazy jet driver. Shame on Choctaw and anyone that supports them!!

OMG, is the price of the ticket worth all the aggrevation you are putting yourselves through to grip about getting 70% of your money back. You purchased a ticket to see a show and if it had not been exciting you would have complained about that. Get on with your life and be thankful that no one was hurt.

CHOCTAWS GREEDY? that's a joke. They deserve every penny they get or make. You sat through 20 minutes of the show. Don't be greedy with what you saw already. You want to be refunded for 1hr and 10 minutes of a show that you didn't see . It is not your fault or the Choctaw's fault. They didn't make you buy souvenirs. Instead of wanting 100% of your money back you should be thankful that no one was injured or killed.

If Choctaw thinks that 70% refund is a fair price, then I think they should refund 70% of the gas we used to go to the event that we didn't get to see and 70% of the souvenirs we bought for autographs that we were unable to get.

People, please, the Choctaws are refunding a good portion of the ticket price, the guy that put on the show still has to be paid even if he did screw up the show and stole everyone's hard earned cash. To get the other 30% of your ticket price, you will have to contact the person whom put on the show! But whatever you do, dont mail in the ticket stub do it in person to be sure you are paid. The refund period is also limited as well, for maybe till the end of October!

There is more cigarette smoke in the Casino than a few burning cars would ever make. Give all us Non Smokers a refund for all the money we spend. As long as the Choctaws get Government handouts, they will always be greedy.
