Texas Instruments to bring in 200 new jobs

SHERMAN, Tex. -- Texas Intsruments is expected to bring 200 new jobs to its Sherman plant.

The company announced Monday that over the next two years they will consolidate its Tucson, Arizona, manufacturing operations with the Sherman facility so employees will be able to manufacture higher volumes of products more efficiently.

About 1,000 TI employees will be based in Sherman when the consolidation is complete.

    Don't get too excited folks....This is TI we're talking about. They could lay off 300 next year!!!!

    Its a relief to hear this. I have worked at T.I. on and off for the last 30 years as a sub contractor and have seen TI really boom. Now with this global economy thing I have wondered if TI could hang in there.I wish the best for all who work there and maybe when we get this idiot out of the White House America can start the road to healing its industrial manufacturing base GO T.I.GO
