The Bayou Restaurant opened in Idabel, Oklahoma in May of 2005. Since that time, they have enjoyed great success, and have developed quite a reputation in Texoma for their fish, frog legs, and Cajun boiled crawfish. After numerous requests. the NEW Colbert location opened on August 1 of this year, and is quickly becoming a favorite of our customers locally. Located just west of Hwy 75 next to the Dollar General Store, The Bayou is available for private events, Monday-Wednesday, and open to the public Thursday-Saturday 4pm-9pm, and Sunday 11am-3pm.

The Bayou offers three different kinds of friend shrimp, boiled Cajun shrimp, Cajun and regular fried fish, and all the fixins. Combined this with homemade cobbler and soft serve ice cream, and it's a pretty good spread. They do all of their own seasonings, and make their Cobblers, Etoufee, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Potato salad, Vinegar slaw, Cherry Salad, and other salad bar items from scratch. All their food has to pass their own taste tests first and if it's not delicious, they won't serve it to their customers. They also serve chicken, brisket or pork, for their customers who don't particularly like sea food. They are available for private events, Monday-Wednesday, and are open Thursday-Saturday 4-9, and Sunday 11-3. Price is $12.99 for adults, $10.99 for seniors 65 and over, and discounts for children under 12. This price is all inclusive and includes drink and dessert.
