10-6-04 - A Marshall County grandmother pleaded guilty to child stealing after taking her grandson to Mexico last year after a custody battle.
Sharon Pelton and her husband were caught 6 months later at a border crossing in California. The 2-year-old boy was returned to his father in Lone Grove.
On Wednesday, Pelton plead guilty to the felony charge. She faces up to ten years in prison during her sentence hearing next month.
Charges against Pelton’s husband were dropped.
