Fans Gear Up for Red River Shootout

Video will be available shortly.

10-8-04 – Longhorn and Sooner fans are expected to flood Dallas this weekend. The game kicks off at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Coaches on both sides of the Red River have already sent their game ball to the Cotton Bowl as part of the annual Red River Run.

Fans heading to Dallas may run into some traffic on I-35. The Texas Department of Transportation will have crews working on construction at the Texas Travel Information Center, just north of Gainesville.

TXDOT does not expect major delays, but they are asking drivers to slow down and be aware.

The information center will be closed, but a temporary site across the parking lot will be open. A portable restroom trailer will be open 24 hours a day.

If you don’t have tickets to the game, The West End in Dallas will host a party and game viewing from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
