Church Victimized by Thieves

Video will be available shortly.

10-13-04 - The First Baptist Church of Gene Autry fell victim to thieves this past weekend. A church employee realized Saturday morning that the audio board was missing. Further investigation revealed that thieves had also stolen several speakers, a keyboard and a video camera.

Investigators believe the thieves broke into the church through a side door, prying it open with a simple pocket knife. The robbery could have happened anytime from last Wednesday to early Saturday morning.

The church is borrowing sound equipment from the Gene Autry museum to use in their services. They hope to be able to buy new equipment with insurance money.
