10-14-04- Two more arrests have been made in connection with a brawl that landed two Leonard football players in jail last week.
Last Friday, two 17-year-old Leonard football stars were arrested just hours before their football game in Anna. They bonded out of jail the same night and played in the second half of the game.
Now, authorities say they’ve arrested two more men; 22-year-old Brandon Fulton and 17-year-old Kerry Lee Murphy. Neither play for the football team. Fulton was taken into custody by Fannin County deputies Thursday morning. Murphy surrendered in Collin County on Wednesday. Both have already been released on bond.
Leonard Athletic Director Gerald James says the incident stems from an altercation in Blue Ridge. The men are accused of badly beating up another teenager at a party.
