10-15-04 - The state of Texas is trying to give away more than $80 million this weekend. The Texas Comptroller’s Office is publishing a list of names in Sunday papers across the state – people who have unclaimed property waiting for them to claim.

Often, the money comes from old paychecks that couldn’t be sent to the recipient due to a change of address of name. The money ranges from $100 in some cases to thousands of dollars in others.

To see if you’re on the list, pick up a copy of the Dallas Morning News on Sunday, or click here to see the list.
