New Gimmick Keeps Holiday Shoppers Home

Video will be available shortly.

11-27-04- Ardmore city leaders have created a new gimmick to keep holiday shoppers spending their money at home. The Christmas Cash gimmick is taking the place of the Super Santa Sweepstakes, which has been Ardmore's way of keeping folks shopping at home during the holiday season.

This year, the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce created Santa's Christmas Cash, where shoppers sign up the same way they did with Super Santa, but there are no tickets and instead of one chance to win money, shoppers now have six chances.

Winners spin a wheel for a prize at a local business. The new gimmick will also keep the money won in town. Instead of winning cash, the customer will win a gift check that can only be used at participating businesses.
