DENISON, Tex. -- A family in Denison will soon have a new home. Volunteers were hard at work in the 200 block of East Hull Street on Wednesday.

They are trying to finish and weatherproof the outside, so they can start work inside the house. The project began in September, and volunteers say it's always rewarding to come out and help build a home.

"You know that you're helping a family that needs a home, and it really means a lot to everyone that comes out here to work." Habitat volunteer Gene McElroy says.

Volunteers plan to be at the house on Saturday. They expect to finish the project by the end of the year.
