At least two people were taken to the hospital Monday night after a truck and van collided in Ardmore.

Police tell us that a truck and van collide in Ardmore just after 6:00 pm. They say a truck headed west on Highway 70 tried to turn left onto South Commerce Street. That truck was hit by a van traveling east on Highway 70.

No word on the extent of the injuries.

I think that this station should rebroadcast this with the correct information. I was appalled to hear you report that the van hit the truck. I saw this accident and the driver of the van did have the green light and tried to stop. The driver of the pick up had a red light and hit the van. There is at least one passenger in the van that has been in the trauma center at OU since that night. I think this family deserves the story to be broadcast correctly. GOD BLESS THEM

for your information, the people doing the report need to get the information straight... i saw this wreck and the turning lane had red lights, the van had a green light, so don't say that the van hit the truck when in fact that the truck ran the red light and hit the van

Thank you Jimmie I strongly agree with you. I can’t count the number of times I have read or heard a media report and they say a truck was involved. I’m like you I picture an 18 wheeler but when I see the video on the TV or see and picture of the accident it is a pickup. But the way I see it it’s like calling a peanut a watermelon. This is about the size difference.

i know everyone is looking for news to broadcast but if your gonna do it why not do it right.i dont know of the times there has been pickups involved in accidents, and how does news casters handle it,well they say that a truck was involved, you need to study up on autos and trucks dont call an orange an apple. it is truck drivers who makes it possible for you to buy things at a discount and truck drivers needs the publics support, including the news media,we all have accidents at one time or another so for i have had neither in auto or truck, but if i ever do wreck my pickup please do the other drivers a favor dont say i wrecked my truck, and if i do wreck my truck and im at fault then say it that way if im not at fault i expect the same report on the other in behalf of all the drivers i want to wish you a beautiful day jim mason of arkansas
