MARIETTA, Okla. -- The United Way in Love County have exceeded their contribution goals much quicker than they had anticipated.
The non-profit organization received an award Tuesday at the Clay Cooley Chevrolet dealership in Marietta for raising almost $13,000 before January.
Organizers started their fund raiser in September and exceeded their goal of $12,000 in just two months.
"We try to do our share making contributions in Love County. We have several agencies that have offices here," assistant drive chair Barbara Sessions said.
The united way has over 20 offices in Carter, Love, Murray, and Johnston Counties.
