ARDMORE, Okla. -- The season of giving is just around the corner, and the Salvation Army started their Red Kettle Kickoff on Wednesday.
It’s been an on-going tradition since 1891 for the Salvation Army. On Wednesday they kicked off their humanitarian campaign with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Wal-Mart in Ardmore.
Of course the goal of the Salvation Army is raise as much money so families can have a wonderful holiday season
"We have the Kettle campaign to raise money for food for families, Christmas presents, that type of thing," said Sandra Pruitt with the Ardmore Salvation Army.
