Chase Ends - Suspects Caught

Video will be available shortly.

10-27-04 - Two Sherman men are accused of leading authorities on a high-speed chase through Grayson County that didn’t end until both men ditched their vehicle and ended up in a creek.

A Van Alstyne police officer pulled over Jason James and Roman Perez around 2pm along US 75. But as he approached the car, the driver sped off. At times the chase reached speeds of more than 100mph. The pair was finally cornered behind the Sherman wastewater treatment plant along Post Oak road – which is a dead end. They took off on foot, but authorities caught them wading through a creek.

Officers found a stolen handgun and narcotics inside the car.
