Family Survives House Fire


12-13-04 – A family in Milburn, Oklahoma is thankful after surviving a fire inside their house. Two people were sent to the hospital, but all seven inside the trailer home were able to make it out alive

It was just after 2 AM Sunday when Crystal Adams smelt smoke. Just minutes later, the trailer was in flames.

Adams made her way through the flames to save her children four children whose ages range from eight years old to two months. She along with her fiancé, Jerry Watkins, managed to help all the children out safely.

Watkins was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but later released. Another family friend who was inside the blaze was taken to the ICU unit of Baptist Burn Center in Oklahoma City in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The trailer was not insured, but the family is trying to gather donations to help with their recovery.
