Where to Go: Local Halloween Plans

10-29-04 – With Halloween falling on a Sunday, several communities in Texoma are changing what day they prefer trick-or-treaters hitting the streets.

Ardmore and Van Alstyne are celebrating Halloween on Friday night with events downtown. Ardmore celebrates from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Main Street. Van Alstyne is holding an event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. downtown. Bonham will also celebrate with Treats Around the Square starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night.

The Cities of Madill, Hugo and Mill Creek, OK are encouraging residents to trick-or-treat on Saturday.

Other Texoma towns like Denison, Howe, Whitesboro, Gainesville and Whitewright are leaving trick-or-treating plans up to the parents.

Pottsboro, Tom Bean and Colbert will still celebrate on Sunday.

Southeastern Spring Commencement set for May 11

Posted: 05/07/13 - DURANT, Okla. – Regent Terry Matlock will deliver remarks at Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Spring Commencement, scheduled for Saturday, May 11, at Paul Laird Field.
