10-30-04- Just in time for Halloween, the Heartland Flyer turned into a spooky train Saturday morning in Ardmore. Passengers boarded the train in full costume at the Ardmore Depot.

While riding the Flyer, the little ones listened to ghost stories, ate candy, and participated in a costume contest. But the Halloween train only had a one-way ticket. When they arrived in Fort Worth, the Halloween fun was over.

The Heartland Flyer puts on theme trains every holiday as a way to bring awareness to the train. So far, they say the promotion is working. Passenger numbers are up 25 percent.
