VAN ALSTYNE, Tex. -- The access road to Highway 75 and FM 121 in Van Alstyne was shut down Friday afternoon after a sign measuring around 70 feet tall fell over.

The Phillips 66 sign came down around two o’clock Friday afternoon. Crews quickly arrived to assess the damage and get to work.

Grayson-Collin Electric Co-Op officials say power was knocked out for about 350 people but was restored within the hour.

No one was injured an estimated damage total has yet to be determined.

Why is it that my weather panel is out of date on First alert? When I click on the weather tab, it goes to the 3 day forecast, which seems t be stuck on November 14th. If I click on the 7 day view, it is correct.

I bet it was the Police Department's fault.
