67 Year Old Woman Dies in Fire

11-01-04 – An elderly, wheelchair-bound woman died when her apartment caught fire in Paris, trapping her inside.

Firefighters got the call at 10:15 p.m. Sunday. When they got to the scene, the 67-year-old resident was dead inside her apartment in the southwest part of town.

Investigators say the fire started in the living room; they have not yet determined a cause.

Other units in the apartment complex were not damaged.

The victim’s body has been sent to the Dallas Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
