Barn Fire Kills Animals in Roberta

12-17-04 - A barn fire in Roberta, Oklahoma caused $25,000 and killed two show hogs inside. Several Bryan County fire departments responded to the fire around 5am. Inside the barn, two vehicles and the animals.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to a propane tank and another building containing thousands of dollars in ham radio equipment. Both were just feet away.

Investigators aren’t sure what caused the fire but the owner says two heat lamps were left on overnight to keep the pigs warm.
