Here’s a way you can brighten up the holidays for a soldier overseas.

You can use your cell phone and send a text message.

Soldier text messages
-Send texts to number 89279

All major carriers are on board with this program.

You simply send a holiday greeting via text message to the number 89279.

The messages won't actually show up on their phones. They will be relayed instead into a military computer system that service members can access.
