MONTAGUE COUNTY, Tex.. -- All the dry conditions and high winds have caused officials in Montague County to enforce a burn ban. An emergency burn ban went into effect Monday.
Several factors led the county judge to enact the ban. Dry conditions, along with possible freeze later in the week could kill grass, making the chance of wildfires more likely.
A final vote on the 90-day burn ban will be held on November 26th at the Commissioner's Court.
