Holiday Trash Overflowing In Sherman

Video will be available shortly.

12-21-04 – Trash from the holiday season is causing quite a mess in Sherman. City officials say the extra trash is ending up in creek beds, causing environmental problems as well as becoming an eyesore for the city.

Since many of the creek beds are located on private property, the city is unable to do the clean-up. Instead they urge people to recycle and to avoid putting trash in overflowing bins.

The city will pick up overflowing trash the week after Christmas at no extra charge as long as it is bagged.
