Snow Doesn’t Stop Shoppers

12-23-04 – Snow, sleet and freezing temperatures are not stopping last minute shoppers. Parking lots of retail centers are packed Wednesday and Thursday.

Shoppers say they are not used to the icy conditions, but are willing bear the risk of venturing out in Texoma.

There are just two shopping days left before Christmas.

And consumer experts are warning those still searching for gifts to be wary of the impulse buys that can add up to massive credit card debt.

One expert says, "The holiday spirit kind of takes on its own momentum, and you can be almost blinded by the holiday lights. You become overly generous."

However some shoppers say they enjoy the pressure of getting all their gifts so late, no matter the costs. One says, "I don't feel bad... This is who I am."
