It's just about that time to load up the car with your family (and possibly your pet) to travel for the Holidays. Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel times of the entire year. Many people will be making the trip to family or friends' homes.

When people are traveling, many times they are in unfamiliar territory. Michael Bolin with the Texas Department of Transportation says, "They may make unexpected moves."

Pay close attention to road signs. Also, construction is a big factor. Slow down and really be alert with the construction taking place around you. Emergency vehicles pulled over to the side of the road need plenty of room, and it's the law to either move to the other lane or reduce your speed by 20 miles per hour when passing them.

Make it a safe Thanksgiving and Holiday season, follow the rules, and just be safe! For more safety tips, just click on the link below.
