Moving Day For Lake Bonham Residents

Video will be available shortly.

12-27-04 – Residents at the Hidden Cove RV Campsite will be evicted this weekend. In November, the Bonham City Commission terminated the leases of about 25 residents since the campsite was contaminating the water of Lake Bonham.

Even with the eviction notice, some residents say they will stay and fight. The city has said it will file a lawsuit against those who remain. Most of the lot has already been vacated.

The residents signed 99-year leases, but the contract states the city can revoke a the leases if the quality of water is in danger.
