Bank Robbers At Large

Video will be available shortly.

11-9-04 – Authorities in Fannin County are investigating a bank robbery Tuesday morning. Just after 10 a.m., authorities say two suspects walked into the Fannin Bank in Windom and demanded money. They were armed with a handgun and threatened to kill the people inside.

There are no reports of injuries, but witnesses say the robbers threatened to kill the nine employees inside.

Authorities say the suspects used a stolen Dodge Neon as their get-away car. It was taken from a Bonham store Monday night. Shortly after the robbery, the car was found abandoned and set on fire.

Law enforcement says the robbers took a second vehicle and were last seen heading south on FM 1753. Law enforcement believes the second car is a white Dodge pickup.

A DPS helicopter is in the air, searching for the suspects.

They are described as white males. They were wearing black masks and gloves.

Windom is a small town of less than three hundred people, ten miles east of Bonham, Texas.
