Accident Injures Eight, Seven Teens

1-8-05- Eight people were injured in a serious accident on I-35 in Love County Saturday morning. The driver of an SUV lost control of the vehicle and flipped. Seven of the eight people injured were teenagers.

The accident happened just after ten a.m. at mile marker 15. Troopers say the driver of a Ford Expedition lost control of the vehicle when the rear tire blew out. The vehicle flipped and came to a rest on it's top.

An 18 year old from Oklahoma City was airlifted to a Dallas hospital. She is in stable condition. Seven other people, ranging in age from 13 to 22, were taken to local hospitals. All were from the Oklahoma City area and have been treated and released.

The 55 year old driver was not injured.
