1-11-05 - A Bryan county man was reunited with his son and daughter this week after 48 years apart. Howard Mahoney of Cartwright last saw his two children in 1956. He left for the military the same year, leaving the children with their custodial mother. When he returned three years later, he’d lost track of the kids.

Over the years, all three searched for each, but it was his daughter who found him on the Internet last month. They finally met in Cartwright on Sunday.

The children say they hold no animosity towards their father.
