Flu Shot Restrictions Lifted in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Flu shots will be available to anyone who
wants them starting Wednesday.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is lifting all restrictions on flu shots in the state because some 17,000 doses of the vaccine are still available at county health departments and private health care providers have plenty of vaccines.

State Health Commissioner Doctor Michael Crutcher says the
department doesn't want the flu shots to go to waste.

Flu shots were in high demand last fall when a shortage was
announced after plant conditions at one of the United State's main
suppliers made their vaccines unusable in US markets.

Crutcher says people who want flu shots should contact their
doctors or local county health department.
