Sports Renovation at Southeastern

Video will be available shortly.

1-19-05 - Officials and dignitaries broke ground Wednesday for a new college and high school sports complex in Durant.

Work has already begun at Paul Laird field. The football stadium on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University will get a major face-lift in the off-season.

Once the Savages and Durant Lions play there next fall, it will have new locker rooms, artificial turf and 500 more seats.

The city will start construction on a multi-sports complex in May. Both complexes are funded by a half-cent sales tax approved by voters in May.
