GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- Authorities are looking for a man and woman they say stole a $600,000 boat last week. Now they believe that boat could be in Oklahoma and those responsible could face federal charges.

How long does it take to steal a 43-foot long, half–a-million-dollar boat? Apparently, around three minutes. At least that’s what happened last Friday at Derebery Performance Marine just north of Pottsboro.

Now the boat could be anywhere, and owners and authorities are asking for your help in getting it back.

Leon Derebery says the boat, the card shark, was parked on his property last week when an unknown man and woman as seen on surveillance video cut the lock to the gates, drove onto Derebery's property, hooked up the boat to the back of their black pick-up truck, and drove off.

Several witnesses driving by at the time of the theft say they can recognize the thieves, but officials add the pair could be anywhere.

Derebery says he received a call a couple of days ago from a friend saying they saw a black truck pulling the card shark heading north on Highway 75.

Now they would like anyone to call if they have information on the whereabouts of the $600,000 dollar boat.

"We sure need everyone’s help to try and locate this thing, surely somebody saw this thing on Friday after thanksgiving going down the highway after dark, somebody saw something. They had to have."

Derebery says he just finished installing a state of the art security camera system and hopes that can help get the boat back.

If you have any information you are asked to call the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

There is a $50,000 reward for the person who finds the boat.

Sounds like another rich person gets another insurance payoff so us peons can keep on paying and paying and paying. I could go on and on and on but I'll stop there.

Why in the world are we hearing about this one week after it happened. It seems to me that the sooner the information is made public, the more eyes can look for it while it is still in the area.
