1-20-05 – The Fire Marshall is investigating a church fire Thursday morning. The Assembly of God Church on North Newport Road, near Highway 70, in Lone Grove caught fire around midnight.
A passer-by saw flames and rushed into a local store to call 911. Four fire departments worked through the night to put out the flames. Ardmore, Sneed and Dickson firefighters assisted the Lone Grove Fire Department.
No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
