Ada Football Player Dies in Wreck

Video will be available shortly.

11-18-04 - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says speed apparently caused a one-car crash this morning that killed an Ada teenager and member of the football team.

Troopers say 16-year-old Cody Bolin died in the crash just before 11:15 on a Pontotoc County road just west of Ada. Troopers say the car Bolin was driving ran off the road and rolled several times, throwing Bolin from the car.

Bolin was the starting center of the Ada Cougar football team, which was preparing for a practice in Norman today for their playoff game this weekend.

Tune into First News at Five for reaction from the school and students.
