11-19-04 – Folks in Clayton, Oklahoma are taking extra precautions after fears that an accused sexual predator could be targeting a young girl.
James Cheyenne Brown was arrested in Oklahoma City this month for possessing child pornography. Yesterday, the Clayton School District learned that he might be planning to kidnap an 8-year-old Clayton girl.
An informant gave the information to police.
The suspect was released from jail earlier this month on bond and Clayton school officials have sent home Brown’s photo with students. Police are also stepping up their patrols.
Brown does not have a prior criminal record and he is out on $180,000 bond.
