Sunday Afternoon and Evening ... Scattered intense thunderstorms are expected, some severe. Large hail, high winds and the potential for isolated tornadoes will be the main threats. Locally heavy is rain also possible with these storms.
1-29-05- An embassy official says two Americans have been killed in an attack on the US Embassy compound in Baghdad. The official, who asked not to be identified, says a rocket hit close to the building, which is located in the city's heavily fortified Green Zone. He says four Americans also were injured in the attack.
The embassy isn't providing further details. But a military official, who also didn't want to be identified, says one civilian and one sailor were killed in the rocket attack.
The official says the injured Americans include two members of the military and one civilian.
Today's attack comes just hours before the start of Iraq's elections.
