Body Found in Rush Creek

Video will be available shortly.

1-30-05- Pauls Valley police continue to investigate the discovery of a body in Rush Creek Saturday. A 46 year old Pauls Valley man was pulled from the creek after a group of boys discovered it under a bridge near a shopping center.

Pauls Valley authorities identified the man as Jimmy Wayne Bailey.

Police Chief Dennis Madison says there's no indication how long Bailey had been under the bridge or if his death was the result of foul play.

Madison says the state medical examiner performed a sight
investigation and will conduct an autopsy on Bailey's remains to
determine the cause of death.

Authorities were contacted after the boys told their mother what
they had seen. Madison says officials used a tow truck crane to
lift the body from beneath the bridge due to the poor conditions of
the creek bank.
