Sunday Afternoon and Evening ... Scattered intense thunderstorms are expected, some severe. Large hail, high winds and the potential for isolated tornadoes will be the main threats. Locally heavy is rain also possible with these storms.
11-22-04 - The Oklahoma Geological Survey recorded a magnitude 3.0 earthquake at 5:42PM on Monday.
The epicenter was in Grady County, 2.3 miles SE of Bradley. The epicenter was 4.4 miles NW of Lindsay, Garvin County and 24 miles SW of Norman. The earthquake was felt in Slaughterville, Payne, and Purcell.
Sounds, like distant thunder and windows rattling were heard. It is expected that this earthquake will be felt over a wide area of Grady, Garvin, and McClain Counties. No damage or injuries have been reported and none are expected. No aftershocks have been detected.
This is the 34th and second largest Oklahoma earthquake in 2004.
