Local Red Cross Honored for Service

The Texoma Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has received two award recognitions from the Southwest Service Area of the American Red Cross.

The Star Award was presented to the chapter for its response in deploying a special "strike" team to "serve in multiple disaster operations with little notice" during the hurricanes in Florida. The second award was individual awards to the strike team disaster volunteers who responded to the November 22 tornadoes in Louisiana.

Children’s Center Honors Volunteers
