Gainesville names new city manager
GAINESVILLE, TX -- The city of Gainesville now has a new city manager. Council members appointed Barry Sullivan to the job this afternoon. Sullivan currently serves as the assistant city manager in Hewitt Texas, near Waco.

GAINESVILLE, TX -- The city of Gainesville now has a new city manager. Council members appointed Barry Sullivan to the job this afternoon. Sullivan currently serves as the assistant city manager in Hewitt Texas, near Waco.

Sullivan's first day on the job is set for January 7th. Dan Parker has been serving as the interim since Mike Land stepped down in July. Land is now the city manager of Prosper in Collin County.
