CAMP McGREGOR, N.M. - More than 2,600 Oklahoma soldiers are preparing to deploy to Iraq.
Military officials say the members of the Oklahoma National Guard's 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team have finished half of their training.
That training is taking place at Camp McGregor in New Mexico.
The soldiers will be given a chance to head home for Christmas before completing their training in early January. Then they leave for Iraq.
