School bond passes in Fox

CARTER CO., OK -- Two propositions to improve schools in Fox, Oklahoma pass. The propositions called for a bond election in the school district.

School officials say proposition one would allow the district to buy an activity bus and two new school buses. Proposition two would pay to remodel some of the buildings and bring them up to code.

The $1.6 million bond would raise property taxes an average of twenty dollars a year. Officials say this is the first bond passed in Fox schools history.

Proposition 1: transportation bond
For: 209
Against: 23

Proposition 2: remodel buildings
For: 205
Against: 26
