02-09-05 – 26-year-old Richard Chastain is the man accused of breaking into four cars and stealing ATM cards in each. According to police, surveillance video shown on KXII helped lead to his capture.
Authorities say Chastain used four basketball games as an opportunity to break into the cars, steal an ATM card, and wipe out their bank account. A shirt he was wearing on the video helped tip police off.
Two additional warrants are also out on more individuals suspected to be involved.
Chastain is charged with grand larceny, receiving a stolen debit card, credit card abuse, and burglary of an automobile. He could also face additional charges filed by six other law enforcement agencies.
