MUSKOGEE, Okla. -- The second man whom authorities say was involved in the robbery of the Grandy’s restaurant in Ardmore in June plead guilty in court Monday morning.

Andron Thompson entered his plea in U.S. District Court in Muskogee. He was charged with brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Last week, Larry White, 19, plead guilty to the same charges.

Federal authorities halted the release of both men from the Carter County Jail in November.

The two men were given a 75-day jail sentence in August by a Carter County District Judge. Many believed that punishment was too lenient.

somebody need to investagate the judges in Ardmore. These judges more or less just gave a tiny slap on the wrist to these guys. Think God for the Federal judges. I hope the federal department investagate what is going on with the judges in the Ardmore Court House. I feel after we lost a really good man and friend (Mitch Sperry, the best D.A. that Ardmore has and will ever see in Ardmore)that D.A., some of the police, and the judges have been on the take, if you know what i mean by take. It is pretty bad when you can not feel safe in your own town these days.
