Celina Police Department gets new home

CELINA, Tex. -- The Celina Police Department has moved. Officers moved into 501 Pecan Street over the weekend and opened the doors on Monday.

Corporal Shea Scott says the 2,500-square foot office has much more space and will make it easier for them to serve the community.

"It’s more centrally located, we have a lot more room. As the city grows, it helps us to do our job and spread out a little more." Celina Police Cpl. Shea Scott says.

The building used to be the Celina Independent School District Administration Building. The police department is leasing the space from Celina ISD.
