2-13-05- A former Healdton minister charged with lewd acts with a child has pled guilty to the charge. As part of a plea deal with prosecutors, Christopher Ragle will go to prison for 12 years.
Ragle was arrested by Carter County Sheriff's deputies in November 2004 after church officials in Healdton reported sexual misconduct with a child.
Friday, Ragle told a judge he outlined a four year old child's naked body on "butcher paper" and took photographs of her in his church office office for his own sexual gratification.
The guilty plea came as a result of a plea agreement with the Carter County District Attorney's office. Ragle will serve 12 years of a 20 year sentence, with eight years suspended.
Investigators say federal authorities are looking into images found on Ragle's work computer. Ragle remains in the Carter County jail, awaiting tranfer to a department of corrections facility.
